Connecticut's 16th State Troubadour
The honorary position of Connecticut State Troubadour was established in 1991 by the State of Connecticut. The State Troubadour serves as an ambassador of music and song and promotes cultural literacy among Connecticut citizens. The Connecticut Office of the Arts (COA) appoints an individual resident singer-songwriter as State Troubadour based on the recommendation of a review panel.
Kate is the 16th State Troubadour, an honorary position appointed by the Connecticut Office of the Arts.
She will serve as Connecticut's ambassador of song until June 2018.
Kate's goals include bringing a therapeutic music program to female inmates in the state.
She has also started a grassroots record label made up of friends, family, and fans.
Kate continues to tour in and outside of Connecticut, celebrating CT's culture and tourism through her original music.
